How do I shop for a professional?
The wildlife removal industry is a growing industry with new companies showing up every day. Some with similar names, similar advertising or even trucks or websites that look all too familiar. Therefore consumers should be aware of what to look out for when calling a professional wildlife company. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when hiring a professional to remove wildlife.
You can call the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) @ 615-781-6621 to inquire
as to how long a company or person has been licensed.
- If a company charges a Per Animal Fee, be sure they explain how they plan to only catch and charge for the animal(s) that are actually entering the property. (Traps set outdoors Will attract all sorts of animals)
- Don't hire companies that put a timeline on how long they will keep their traps set. Be sure they are willing to exhaust every avenue in their attempt to rid you of your pest.
- Hire companies that offer repair work and preventative measures as part of their service to prevent future conflicts and costs associated with removal.
- ALWAYS ask for references. If you have been referred by another company such as a Pest Control company that does not deal with Wildlife, ask Why they think the company they referred would be a good choice.
Some companies pay big money to have their name referred out
